Why do AI-built websites all look alike, and how do I get a unique design?

The AI works on probabilities. Out of all the websites it has seen, one style is the most common, and each model has its own default style. If you only ask it to design a website for an agency, ten runs give ten very similar sites. Common signs of a default AI site are a small text label above the big headline, a pill-shaped bar and em dashes.

To get a different look:

  1. Give explicit creative direction, including what you do not want (for example, no small text above the headline).
  2. Tell the AI to use the design taste skill, which removes many common AI-generated design patterns. For example: Redesign the website with the taste skill.
  3. Give it an example. The AI learns best from examples. Share a screenshot or a link to a design you like, such as one from Dribbble, and ask it to build one like it, or to describe the inspiration and adapt it to your industry before building.

With any model you can get any style you want, as long as you ask for it.
